FAQ

Use the following steps to clean your CrossWave™ brush roll:

  • Unplug your machine and remove the brush window to access the brush roll. To remove the brush window, grab the window by the pull tab and pull upward.

  • To remove the brush roll, grab the brush roll tab and pull upward. Under warm water, rinse both the brush roll and the brush roll window.
  • Once completely dry, replace the brush roll and reattach the brush roll window. Replace the brush roll by inserting the grey tab end into the right side of the machine and then pressing down on the colored tab end until it clicks into place.

  • Reattach the brush roll window by lining up the tabs on the front edges of the foot and then pushing the window into place until it clicks into place.

Use the following steps to empty and clean your CrossWave™ dirty water tank:

  • Unplug your machine and remove the dirty water tank by grabbing the front handle of the tank and pressing down on the release button.
  • Grasp the top of the tank at the sides of the filter and pull up to remove the top portion of the tank from the water tank. Empty the dirty water into a sink, then rinse/wipe out the tank.

  • Next, remove and wash the filter. To remove, grasp the sides of the filter and pull up.Under running, warm water, hand wash the filter and screen.With the top portion of the tank still removed, rinse the grey float.
  • Allow all parts to completely dry before reassembly. Once dry, snap the filter back into place and fit the top portion of the tank back into the dirty water tank.
  • Lastly, reattach the water tank to your machine. To reattach, angle the water tank back into the body of the machine bottom first. Then push the tank in until it clicks into place. The tank should sit flush with the front of the machine. The tank should not be loose and there should be no gaps.

Use the following steps if your CrossWave™ has low or no spray:

NOTE: the trigger must be held in order for the machine to produce spray.

NOTE: the clean water tank on the back of the unit should be full.

  • The clean water tank should sit flush with the machine. may also not be seated properly. Remove the tank and firmly push it back into place leaving no gaps.

  • Plug your machine in. With a full water tank, prime the system by holding the spray trigger for 10-15 seconds.
  • If your machine still has low or no spray, unplug the machine, remove the water tank, and inspect the tank for cracks/leaks. If a crack/leak is found, a new tank needs to be ordered.

  • If your machine still has no/low spray, unplug the machine, remove the brush window, and check for clogs in the spray tips on the foot of the machine.
  • To remove the brush window, grab the window by the pull tab and pull upward.
  • Using a paperclip, probe the spray tips to clear away any clogs.

Replace the brush roll window by lining up the tabs on the front edges of the foot and then pushing the window into place until it clicks into place. Test for spray.

Use the following steps if your CrossWave™ has no or low suction:

  • The “Hard Floor” or the “Rug” button should be pressed to activate suction. If there is no suction at this point, please contact us.

  • Recline the unit to activate the brush roll. If the brush roll begins to turn, continue troubleshooting. If the brush roll does not turn, refer to the “Brush Not Turning” FAQ for more information.
  • Remove the dirty water tank to check the suction strength of the motor duct.
  • To remove, grab the front handle of the dirty water tank and press down on the release button. Turn the vac on and feel for suction strength at the motor duct. If suction is strong, continue troubleshooting. If there is low/no suction at the duct, please contact us.

  • The dirty water tank should be empty and the filter should be clean and dry. To empty the tank, grasp the top of the tank at the sides of the filter and pull up to remove the top portion of the tank from the water tank.
  • If the filter is dirty, remove the filter and hand wash the filter and screen with warm water. Note: a new filter may be needed if old/worn. If the filter is wet, remove the filter and allow it to completely dry before reassembly.
  • The grey float should be clean and hand-washed if necessary. There should be a black rubber gasket around the top portion of the dirty water tank. If not, a new gasket needs to be ordered.

  • Once all pieces are completely dry, place the filter back into the top portion of the tank and put the top portion back into the water tank. Tip the tank back and forth to ensure the grey float inside of the water tank shifts freely in place.
  • Reattach the water tank to your machine. To reattach, angle the water tank back into the body of the machine bottom first. Then push the tank in until it clicks into place. The tank should sit flush with the front of the machine. The tank should not be loose and there should be no gaps. Test for suction.

  • If the suction on your machine is still low, unplug the machine and check for clogs in the debris channel of the foot. Remove the water tank, remove the brush window, and recline the machine.
  • With a pen/bendy straw clear any obstructions in the channel. Reattach the water tank and brush window and test for suction.

Use the following steps if your CrossWave™ is leaking:

If your machine is leaking between the clean water tank and the machine:

NOTE: The clean water tank on the back of the unit should be full

  • The clean water tank should sit snug in place. Remove the tank and firmly push it back into place leaving no gaps.

  • Plug the machine in. With a full clean water tank, prime the machine by holding the spray trigger for 10-15 seconds.
  • If the machine still leaks, unplug the machine, remove the water tank and inspect the tank for crack/leaks. If a crack/leak is found, a new tank needs to be ordered.
  • With the water tank still removed, check for cracks on the cap and if the rubber gasket is damaged. If the cap or gasket is damaged, a new cap needs to be ordered.

If the leak is between the brush window and the foot of the machine

  • Unplug the machine and remove, examine, and reattach the brush window to the foot of the machine to ensure it is securely latched.
  • To remove the brush window, grab the window by the pull tab and pull upward. Examine the window for cracks. If a crack is found a new window needs to be ordered.
  • Reattach the brush roll window by lining up the tabs on the front edges of the foot and then pushing the window into place until it clicks into place.

  • Plug the machine in and test for leaks.

Use the following steps if the brush roll on your CrossWave™ won't turn:

NOTE: The machine must be reclined to activate the brush roll.

  • Plug your machine in, select a cleaning mode, and recline the machine to activate the brush roll.
  • If the brush roll does not turn, unplug your machine to check for obstructions and to reset the brush.
  • To remove the brush window, grab the window by the pull tab and pull upward.

  • To remove the brush roll, grab the brush roll tab and pull upward. Under warm water, rinse both the brush roll and the brush roll window and remove any obstructions.
  • To check the brush roll, hold the pull tab end with one hand while turning the other end. If the brush does not spin freely, a replacement brush will be needed.

  • Once completely dry, replace the brush roll and reattach the brush roll window. Replace the brush roll by inserting the grey tab end into the right side of the machine and then pressing down on the colored tab end until it clicks into place.

  • Reattach the brush roll window by lining up the tabs on the front edges of the foot and then pushing the window into place until it clicks into place.
